Our Company History:
Recent years have seen an explosion in studio locations, equipment availability,
and independently operating studios and musicians.
Whereas it once was hugely expensive to start a recording studio, or to self
produce and promote music, technology and the internet have allowed far more engineers
and musicians to participate in the market.
The result has been the creation of thousands of independent and home studios scattered
throughout the world, as well as the rise of thousands more independent musicians
who are self producing and promoting their work, all seeking to cash in on the lucrative
opportunities in music, television, and film once dominated by a handful of large
corporations.
While technically capable and musically talented, independent
studios and musicians often struggle to make ends meet due to lack of money for
marketing, too few songs to create a full library to cash in on publishing rights,
and a lack of a centralized, efficient marketplace in which they can shop their
work. The independent music marketplace
is fragmented and disorganized at best, largely due to the failure of major record
labels, producers, and retailers to recognize and service these independent studios
and musicians.
With respect to the impact of new technology on the music
industry, investment dollars to date have focused on consumer downloads; we seek
to tap into that hole in the market by focusing instead on the upload side of the
market, creating a dynamic business to business and consumer to business marketplace
through which independent studios and musicians can prosper.
The many studios and musicians fighting to make it in
the industry are all seeking the same two things; first, they want the opportunity
to hit the home run. In other words,
they are hoping for the opportunity to sign the big contract with a major label,
with TV and film, and/or with the major agencies.
Second, they want to be a viable as a business.
As they work towards the first goal, they need a way to earn income until
they land the big deal. We know this
because we are our customers.
Our management team has more than 25 years in the music business from the musician's
point of view, and we currently own and operate an independent recording studio. The services we offer are the very services
we need as a studio and as musicians to earn income.
The Library of Independent Music, through YouTunesPro.com,
has created a marketplace which will allow each and every studio and musician to
function as its own record company.
The biggest hurdle for these studios and musicians to landing a major deal is getting
the attention of the players in the music business.
By joining forces in one place, studios and musicians can bring those major
players to them.
In addition to helping studios and musicians get the big
contracts, we will also enable them to function as an ongoing, viable company with
steady revenue. Through our services,
we will create revenue generating opportunities for them so they can earn income
while they work towards that home run contract.
The Library of Independent Music and YouTunesPro. Com
create a situation in which everybody wins.
The independent studios and musicians win because they gain increased opportunity
to land major contracts and earn licensing and royalty revenue, and also because
they have several new ways to earn revenue with a larger base of customers. The major labels, TV and film, and agencies
win because they have a streamlined, more efficient process through which to find
and purchase rights to music for commercial use and production.
And the consumer wins because he or she has a larger, more diverse variety
of music to choose from.
